About the Maurice de Mauriac CHRONO MODERN BRONZE MDM.330.BR.45.BK-2 with suede strap

Mauriac de Mauriac built his success on these watches. They are the classics and can therefore forever be called “Chrono Modern”. The watch developed by Daniel Dreifuss with the 051015 dial gives the watch and its owner a subtle dynamism. The dimensions of these watches and their clear edges leave no doubt - a “Chrono Modern” always adorns a strong arm. No matter whether on water, on land or in the air. You will love her as she will love you.

The pushers are the direct contact between the clockwork and the person. The stop function can be started, ended and reset. To prevent these functions from being triggered accidentally, we offer screw-in crowns. Before use, you must first unlock the crown and secure it again after use.

In our see-through cases, a blue anti-reflective sapphire crystal reveals the pulsating caliber. You have the feeling that you can see and feel the soul of the mechanical automatic movement. The watch is alive. Together with a labeled rotor, every watch becomes a highly emotional gift. Even on yourself.

The former Valjoux 7750 is called caliber ETA 7750 after it was taken over by ETA. It is probably the most successful automatic chronograph movement of all time. This caliber is characterized by high accuracy and great robustness. It has 25 jewels, the rotor has ball bearings and is wound on one side. The 7750 has a 1/8-second counter, a 30-minute counter, a 12-hour counter, 28,800 vibrations per hour and a power reserve of approximately 44 hours. Loss of accuracy of 1 to 6 seconds per day. Revisions are recommended every 3 to 8 years.

We use a very individual bronze alloy from Zurich. Bronze is antimagnetic, low-wear, elastic, slightly more brittle and 10% heavier than stainless steel. What sets them apart particularly is their seawater resistance. The material is permanently protected under the layer of oxidizing copper. The discoloration of the bronze gives it a very special appeal and makes each watch an absolutely unique, unique piece that is influenced exclusively by the life of the owner. Bronze can rub off. These dyes can usually be removed with normal laundry.

Superluminova is a phosphorescent luminescent material and free of radioactive additives. Superluminova is a hundred times brighter than other inactive luminescent pigments. If the luminous pigments have been stimulated by daylight or artificial light, they release the light energy they have absorbed over several hours in the dark. This makes the watch extremely easy to read, even in the dark.

My conclusion:

David Drilling

"I already tested the titanium version. This is another version of the CHRONO MODERN, this time in black made of bronze. Here with a diameter of 39, 42 & 45 millimeters on the soft, brown suede strap. Behind the large glazed case back works ETA's legendary Valjoux 7750, perhaps the most successful chronograph movement of all time in a TOP version! Even more superlatives round off the excellent impression of this black BRONZE chronograph. I love bronze watches!"
